Body and Finish

The body of each Les Paul Plustop PRO/FX is crafted from solid mahogany with a flame maple top, in the timeless image of the Les Paul Standard. The guitar is finished in stunning Desertburst, Honeyburst, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, or Vintage Sunburst, each of which beautifully emphasized the dramatic maple top.

Pickups and Electronics

In the image of the original Les Paul Standard, the Les Paul Plustop PRO/FX carries a pair of Epiphone Alnico Classic humbucking pickups, but equips these for the modern player with a little added output in the bridge position, and 4-conductor wiring for individual coil splitting for each pickup via push/pull volume pots. The total package offers impressive tonal versatility, while retaining a classic look.

Neck, Fingerboard and Headstock

As with all classic Les Paul Standards, the Les Paul Plustop PRO/FX pairs a solid mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and a back-angled headstock. These features all increase the guitar’s warmth, resonance and sustain, and, alongside the SimTaper™ “D” neck profile, help to make it a superbly playable instrument.

Hardware

The Les Paul Plustop PRO/FX’s hardware complement takes it right over the top, equipping this extraordinary guitar for the 21st century. A Floyd Rose Special™ vibrato unit, rare on a Les Paul, provides unprecedented sonic versatility, and high-quality Grover™ tuners and Epiphone StrapLocks round out a package that’s ready to rock right out of the case.
