THE BASS COLLECTION AT KENNY'S MUSIC

Back in the mid eighties through to the early nineties, there was something of a revolution based around the instrument known as the bass Guitar, suddenly it was jumping to the fore front of mixes on every album overnight! Guitarists were giving up and re-appearing as the bass player in the band, the bassist was no longer just a thumping root note maker, standing at the back under the drummers stool, he was coming up front, taking solos, playing melodies, banging out percussion and sometimes all three, thankfully those days are gone! The Bass Collection brand first appeared back in the 80’s made in Japan by a company called Nanyo Becki, they were handled in the UK by the Distributer House Music also known as part of the Bass Centre in London, who were major players in the great 80,s/90,s bass boom. The originals were mostly small bodied active affairs, and a few fender jazz styles that were not as popular at the time.
Now they are back! But this time round, fender style basses are the weapon of choice to have,
Especially when they are finished in the most sought after custom fender colours ever, too good to be true! Not at all, these new Korean made models are exactly that, and more. The guys at Bass Collection have really done their homework on these ones, they have gone for the look and feel of the new breed of super J and P styles currently popular with bassists world wide, things like the slimmer ultralight bodies, satin feel necks, shallow radius fingerboards, medium frets and studio quite high output passive pickups, the current range of Jive and Power basses really do tick all the boxes, all at an unbelievable low price.
