Joining the hugely successful Vintage V4 stable, the V4MTB features a gloss black body and matching scratchplate, with an eye-catching one-piece maple neck and fingerboard. Chrome Wilkinson hardware completes the look, and the awesome split-coil Wilkinson pickup adds the thunderous, powerful sounds that give more low-end rumble than a mountain lion in a pickup truck.
As Tony is a great friend of the shop, Tony has agreed to sign a few of these basses.

“When I was first invited to try a Vintage V4, I was taken by its expensive look and feel. To discover its extremely reasonable price was a bonus. For a new bass player to own a quality instrument from the word go is inspiring. After trying it out during a Big Country rehearsal for the last tour, I quickly decided it would tour with me. To have a signature model to my live bass spec is an honour!”

The Five-Time Most Valuable Metal Guitarist of all time has joined Epiphone to produce the Zakk Wylde ZV Custom.

The new Zakk Wylde ZV Custom combines two of the most distinguishable guitar shapes into one. With it's double-cutaway "SG" top-half allowing for complete fingerboard access and it's radical "Flying-V" bottom-half for extreme attitude, the ZV Custom has an aggressive look like no other. As with Zakk's signature Les Pauls, the body is carved from solid Mahogany and fitted with a glued-in hard Maple neck. The combination provides for deep, rich tone with added brightness and sustain that only comes with a set-neck guitar.

To compliment these tone woods and provide the kind of high-output necessary for Zakk's style, the ZV Custom is equipped with a set of EMG-HZ humbuckers including HZ-4 pickup in the bridge position and a HZ-4A pickup in the neck position. Controlling the two pickups are a Bridge Pickup Volume, a Neck Pickup Volume and a Master Tone with 3-way pickup selector. This combination allows for almost infinite tonal variations. Adding to the sustain of the instrument, the ZV Custom uses Epiphone's new patent-applied-for LockTone tune-o-matic that "locks" the bridge on the posts and makes string changes a breeze while a string-thru body design ensures ultimate string to body vibrations.

Zakk has always preferred a natural. satin-finish neck and the ZV Custom is no exception. With it's SlimTaper neck profile, it's as smooth and as fast as Zakk himself. Both the neck and the Grover equipped six-on-a-side headstock are bound to create a smooth and finished appearance while "LP custom" mother-of-pearl inlays adorn the headstock and the 12" radius Rosewood fingerboard. Epiphone's new StrapLocks are standard equipment making sure that this beast stays on it's leash - even under the most extreme stage situations. To add the final touch to this one-of-a-kind axe, a custom- designed, fitted hard case with ZV-inspired artwork and metal chain handle round out the package.

From Carl Perkins’ recordings of “Honey Don’t” and “Blue Suede Shoes” to Freddie King’s “Hideaway”, a Goldtop was there, rippin’ it up and making musical history in the process. The Gibson Custom Shop’s 1954 Les Paul Goldtop VOS is the veritable second coming of this revered yet short-lived variant of the venerable Les Paul, presenting all the period-correct finepoints that aficionados of the breed know and love. With its hot, gritty P-90 single-coil pickups, deep-set, long-tenon neck joint; lightweight wraparound “stud” bridge; rounded ’50s profile D neck; and gently aged nitrocellulose “gold” top, which is actually a metallic bronze powder suspended in lacquer, this baby is the real deal, raw and ready to rock. While the Les Paul Model might have “evolved” from this point, fans of the ’54 know that it never sounded quite the same again, either. The direct feel and solid, resonant tone of that wraparound stud bridge can’t be matched by any other configuration, and the P-90 pickups are a world unto themselves, too, with the meat power of later humbuckers and the clarity and bite of single coils, P-90s have proven enormously popular for more than 60 years.

When Les Paul and Gibson sat down at the drawing board to devise the first solidbody electric from a leading guitar manufacturer, the artist who was giving his name to the project insisted that this radical new instrument needed to be finished in gold, a color that would claim the Les Paul Model’s place in the world. Marrying a solid, lightweight mahogany back to a carved maple top was the first stroke of genius, and established the most legendary tonewood combination in the history of electric guitar manufacturing. To complete the design, Gibson added the features that players of this radical new amplified music were demanding, while rendering the entire package with the historic company’s traditional arched top, bound body and neck, glued-in neck joint, and supreme tone and playability, in short, making the Les Paul a high-quality instrument for a new breed of player. With the addition of the wraparound bridge in late ’53/early ’54, the Les Paul had arrived, and it has never looked back. With its historically correct features, quality tonewoods, and proprietary VOS (Vintage Original Spec) hardware and finish aging process, the Custom Shop 1954 Les Paul Goldtop is as close as a player or collector can get to landing the real thing. Gibson’s alnico-magnet P-90 pickups are the closest reproductions to original ’50s P-90s that the company has ever produced, and quality CTS volume and tone pots and “bumblebee” tone capacitors take it all the tone from pickup to Switchcraft output jack in glorious style. To top it off, a final set up and fret dressing from Gibson’s phenomenal PLEK system makes it as sweetly playable as a guitar can possibly be. Each 1954 Les Paul Goldtop VOS comes protected in a Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case and includes a Certificate of Authenticity and full owner’s manual and instructions. Check out your own today, and grab a piece of that Gold.
Price:£2,649.00

The newly revitalized series of 2011 in a dressed-down styling and meaty performance package that so many players loved in the original release, but with notable added features to update the theme.

The Gibson SG Raw Power All Maple follow the no-nonsense ethos of Gibson’s popular SG series, and their down-to-business looks are packed with performance features that the hard-gigging modern musician will appreciate. These is a grab’n’go workhorse guitar for tone-conscious rock and blues artists.

The Gibson SG Raw Power features an unbound solid maple body, with a traditional carved top on the former. This sturdy tonewood offers a clear, well-defined sonic response, as well as looking great with minimal cosmetic treatment. The solid mahogany neck is topped with an unbound maple fretboard, which is dressed with simple dot position markers, and graced with a traditional trapezoid marker at the 12th fret.

Advanced electronics on the Gibson SG Raw Power speak volumes about their intentions. A pair of 57 Classic humbucking pickups offer a broad appeal for a wide range of playing styles. One of Gibson’s most popular pickups of all time, the 57 Classics employ Alnico II magnets, vintage enamel coated wire, nickel-plated pole pieces, nickel slugs, maple spacers and vintage-style, two-conductor, braided wiring, just like the legendary PAFs that they are based on. In a variation from the majority of original PAFs, however, the ’57 Classics’ coils are wax potted to combat microphony and feedback squeal at high volumes so, while vintage voiced, they are also suited to high-gain playing.

The legendary Gibson Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece pairing aid tuning stability and enhance sustain, while green-key Grover Kluson-style tuners add subtle vintage elegance to their superior performance. A Corian nut helps to ensure excellent resonance and sustain, as well as hitch-free performance. The Gibson SG Raw Power features a glued-in neck and is built to Gibson’s traditional 24 3/4\" scale length, with a neck width of 1 11/16\" at the nut. Equipped with a Gibson gig bag, the Les Paul Raw Power is ready to hit the road and roll.

Price:£699.00

The guitar's neck is also made from solid mahogany neck - carved to the fast yet comfortable SlimTaper profile and glued into the body with the time-tested mortise & tenon joint. Among those new products was the Les Paul Junior single cutaway model, which quickly became Gibson's best-selling model and the instrument of choice for such legends as Leslie West, Steve Marriott, Keith Richards, Mick Ralphs, Mick Jones and Paul Westerberg.

Gibson's Traditional Rounded Neck Profile

No guitar neck profiles are more distinguishable than the neck profiles employed on the Gibson models of today. The rounded neck profile on the Les Paul Junior emulates the neck profiles most commonly found on Gibson's iconic Les Paul models of the late '50s. As with all Gibson necks, it is machined in Gibson's rough mill using wood shapers to make the initial cuts. Once the rosewood fingerboard gets glued on, the rest - including the final sanding - is done by hand. That means there are no two necks with the exact same dimensions. So while it still has the basic characteristics of the rounded neck profile, each neck will be slightly different, with a distinct but traditional feel.

22-Fret Rosewood and Ebony Fingerboard

Ebony and rosewood has always graced the fingerboards of the world?s finest stringed instruments, including many of today's Gibson's. The fingerboards on the Les Paul Juniors are constructed from the highest grade ebony and rosewood on the planet, and are personally inspected and qualified by Gibson?s team of skilled wood experts before it enters the factories. The resilience of these dense and durable woods make the fingerboards extremely balanced and stable, giving each chord and note unparalleled clarity and bite. The 12-inch radius of the fingerboard provides smooth note bending capabilities and eliminates \"dead\" or \"choked out\" notes, common occurrences on fingerboards with lesser radiuses.

Vintage-style Wraparound Bridge/Tailpiece

A classic piece of hardware, the wraparound bridge/tailpiece on the Les Paul Junior offers a simplicity and functionality that is hard to match. It provides a firm seating for the strings, allowing the player to adjust intonation and string height as needed, and yielding an incredible union between the strings and body, resulting in excellent tone and sustain.

Classic Dot Inlays

The classic dot inlay is one of the most distinguishable features of many traditional Gibson models, including the Les Paul Junior. A figured, swirl acrylic gives these inlays that classic \"pearl\" look. They are inserted into the fingerboard using a process that eliminates gaps and doesn't require the use of fillers.

One-piece, Solid Mahogany Body and Set-Neck Construction

Two of the most central features of the Les Paul Junior are its one-piece, solid mahogany body, and its set-neck construction, or glued neck joint. Like the majority of Gibson's classic guitars, the neck of the Les Paul Junior is set into the body's neck cavity using glue, which ensures a \"wood-to-wood\" contact, no air space in the neck cavity, and maximum contact between the neck and the body, thus allowing the neck and body to function as a single unit. The result? Better tone, better sustain, and no loose or misaligned necks. As with all Gibson woods, the regimen involved in selecting the right body wood and the formula to dry it out is extensive. First, the wood is personally inspected and qualified by Gibson's team of skilled wood experts before it enters the Gibson factories. These onsite experts also ensure that the plain maple comes from corporations adhering to the forest-saving standards of the Rainforest Alliance, of which Gibson is a proud member and sponsor. Inside the Gibson factories, humidity is maintained at 45 percent, and the temperature at 70 degrees. This ensures all woods are dried to a level of \"equilibrium,\" where the moisture content does not change during the manufacturing process. This guarantees tight-fitting joints and no expansion, and controls the shrinkage and warping of the woods, in addition to reducing the weight. It also improves the wood's machinability and finishing properties, and adherence to glue. Consistent moisture content means that every Les Paul Junior will respond evenly to temperature and humidity changes long after it leaves the factory.

Gibson's Legendary P-90 Pickup

The legendary P-90 - introduced in the early 1950s - is Gibson's truly legendary single coil pickup, and offers the soulful, classic tone that only a P-90 can. Delivering more warmth than a standard single coil pickup, with higher output and sweet treble response, the P-90 continues to be one of the most popular pickups today, offering a distinct and powerful tone that remains unmatched in the face of relentless impersonation.

Price:£599.00

It’s with great pride then that Fender introduces the Kurt Cobain Mustang, which evokes the man, the band, the sound and the times, and gives an authentically crafted nod to one of the most unlikely guitars to ever find itself at the center of a musical maelstrom.

Kurt Cobain liked Mustangs a lot. For one, he preferred offbeat guitars that didn’t cost zillions of dollars, and the Mustang certainly fit those two criteria. Also, being somewhat physically diminutive himself, he liked to perform live with slightly more diminutive guitars, like Fender Mustangs and Jaguars, which better fit his hands and his reach.

See for yourself-go back and watch the famous 1991 video for “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” and there he is and there it is slung over his shoulder. Or think back to when you saw them on the ’93-’94 In Utero tour, when he seldom went onstage with anything but a Mustang. Quite often and especially later on, Mustangs were a big part of what Kurt Cobain was all about, musically.

Inspired by his arsenal of modded guitars, the new Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang takes you back there, with highly distinctive features including an angled single-coil Mustang neck pickup and ferocious Seymour Duncan® JB humbucking bridge pickup mounted directly to the body, dual on-off/phase in-out switches for each pickup, a polyester-finished alder body and an Adjusto-Matic™ bridge with dynamic vibrato tailpiece.

Other features include the classic 24” Mustang scale length, C-shaped maple neck with urethane finish, 7.25”-radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 vintage-style frets and vintage-style ivory dot inlays, four-ply pickguard (Aged White Pearl on Fiesta Red and Dark Lake Placid Blue with stripe models; Tortoiseshell on Sonic Blue model), master volume and tone controls, vintage-style tuners, and chrome hardware. Rex into the stratosphere in the late '60s and early '70s, and his customized Gibson Les Paul was the fuel that propelled it all skyward. Dressed in a simplicity that gave them a broad and infectious appeal, songs like "Ride a White Swan," "Get It On (Bang a Gong)," "Jeepster," "Metal Guru," "Children of the Revolution" and "20th Century Boy" were laced through with addictive riffs and crunching rhythm guitar that sounded consistently massive and hooked burgeoning metal-heads and teeny-boppers alike. Bolan's star burned out far too soon when he died in a car accident in Southwest London in 1977 shortly before his 30th birthday, but his music and its influence have remained strong over the intervening decades.

To honor this star's legacy, Gibson Custom introduces the Marc Bolan Les Paul, a detailed recreation of the much-modified Les Paul that accompanied Bolan throughout the height of his career. With its replacement Custom Model neck and headstock (added to Bolan's late-'50s Les Paul when its original neck was broken in the early '70s), un-covered humbucking pickups including zebra-coil neck unit, and stripped "Bolan Chablis" finish, the Marc Bolan Les Paul is the spitting image of the iconic original. Add in its superior neck and body tonewoods, period-correct design and construction, and accurate PAF-style humbucking pickups, and this great Artist Model also nails the meaty, rich tone of its legendary inspiration.

The Marc Bolan Les Paul will be produced in a strictly limited run, including 100 hand Aged guitars, and a further 350 aged with Gibson Custom's acclaimed VOS process. Each will include an Artist Model Certificate of Authenticity, a plush-lined hardshell case, a vintage replica guitar strap, and owners and warranty literature.

Through the course of the coming decade the SG would become a favorite of rock, blues, and fusion players. By the time the single-cutaway Les Paul Standard returned to the fold later in the ’60s to reclaim its own hold on the guitar world, the SG had established itself as an iconic axe for straight-ahead rockers, making a major noise in the hands of Pete Townshend, Robby Krieger, Eric Clapton, and several others. As the stripped-down sibling of the SG Standard, the SG Special has always been a favorite of non-nonsense rock'n'rollers.

Right from the introduction of the SG family in 1961, the Special has shared several of the seminal design and construction traits of the Standard, including its lightweight solid-mahogany body, iconic asymmetrical double-cutaway design, superfast neck profile, and dual-pickup sonic assault, although the contemporary Gibson USA SG Special has also been hot-rodded for today's demanding player. Unlike the single coils of the ’60s, the SG Special now carries a pair of hard-rockin' humbucking pickups, along with the legendary pairing of a Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. In short, it has everything you need to rock with the best of 'em, and nothing to get in the way, while retaining the great styling that lets you know it's a part of one of the most legendary guitar families in the history of rock.

The body is also larger than the Bluesmaster, giving the Bluescaster more bottom end and darker mids. The pickup configuration consists of three pickups: a custom wound HB-II humbucker in the bridge position and two custom wound SC-II single coils in the middle and neck positions. Combined with a strat-style 5-way pickup selector switch, and the ability to split the coils on the HB-II gives this guitar a plethora of tones that can satisfy a wide range of styles.

As with all Saint Blues guitars, the Bluescaster IV offers a variety of features that one wouldn't expect in a guitar at this price point.
Price:£499.00
