Dreadnought Acoustic Guitars are the most commonly played body style of all other types all around the world. Known for their rich mixture of lows and mids resonating powerfully through the large bodied guitar, this guitar can do it all.
Dreadnought Acoustic Guitars were first manufactured in 1916 by C.F. Martin & Company for a retailer until 1931 when Martin released the model under it's own company name. Dreadnoughts are known for their powerful voice and lower-mid rich tones. Dreadnoughts have scalloped bracing and a large body which allows for a rich mixture of lows and mids to resonate. The dreadnought is the most widely used body shape of all acoustic guitars by many different guitarists playing many different genres of music.
