Established in Calabasas, California in 1996, Line 6 made a name for themselves by producing some of the earliest digital modelling amplifiers on the market. The company came to real notoriety in the early 2000s with the introduction of their ever popular Pod series.
Digital amp modelling is still very much part of the Line 6 arsenal, with the Spider series introduced in 2004 still going strong today. The Pod series is also still going strong, and in fact Line 6 have further made a name for themselves when it comes to multi-effects units with the introduction of the Helix series, a multi-effects unit and digital amp modeller combined into one relatively compact unit. Line 6 also have their own line of PA speakers, recording hardware and Variax musical instruments.
