X Series Acoustic Guitars by Martin are made for the players who like to travel with their guitar and play in any and every type of venue, be it the bedroom, stage, or at the campfire. X series guitars are constructed with solid wood tops or HPL tops, and HPL back and sides. HPL or High Pressure Laminate is a composite material made from paper and resin that is pressed at very high pressure. The surface will have a wood pattern (Mahogany, Rosewood, Koa, etc.) and a protective clear coating. It is not a wood veneer. The HPL in the construction gives the guitar a great deal of stability in any and all weather related conditions. Other great appointments of this model include: X bracing, Fishman electronics and Mother-of-Pearl pattern inlay.
