Casio introduce their AR piano app

We've all been there. You're in a certain enormous Swedish furniture store having the age old debate with your significant other - "Is it going to fit?".

Sure it looks small here, but so would the country of Russia. You've already been there for 4 hours, and there's no end in sight. Will it even go in the car? Why do we need this wardrobe anyway? What's wrong with piling my clothes on a chair? WE WERE PROMISED MEATBALLS!

Well pianos can be a very similar story. "It didn't look this big in the store..." The reason for that is typically that our store isn't a living room which already contains a couch, an armchair, a TV unit, a bookcase, an end table, ALL of the plants, a staircase and a large dog.

Casio has heard you. They've been there, and they just want matrimonial bliss.

Casio bring you their AR (Augmented Reality) app, a clever bit of software that allows you to see if it will fit or not without you even having to leave your house (particularly well timed on Casios part).

"So how does it work?", I hear you ask. It's quite straight forward actually. Download the Casio AR App onto your Smartphone or Tablet by following the instructions here.
You then choose the Casio piano you're interested in, scan the area you'd like to put it in with your device's camera, and through the wonders of modern technology you can answer yae or nae to the "will it fit" paradox. You can even swap the finish on the instrument to see which one looks best, and tweak angles so that you can get an accurate idea of what you're looking for.

So there you have it - piano shopping made easy. I'm afraid it won't help with the wardrobe, but there may yet be meatballs...
