When it comes to tone and that all-important ‘feel’ factor, great valve amps rightfully remain the ‘gold standard’.
The trouble is that great ones capable of delivering 50 Watts or more are all back-breakingly heavy.

How can I get involved?
To entry, simply visit either our Aberdeen store or flagship Glasgow store and try BOTH the EL34 and 6L6 versions of the St. James amplifiers.
Then, post a photo on your personal social media of you trying out the amp – make sure to tag Blackstar (@blackstaramps) and Kenny’s Music (@kennys_music).
Once your photo is uploaded, scan the QR code on the pull up banner in store.
This takes you to a webform, which you must fill out and submit online to enter the contest.
The winner will receive a 2×12 combo to match their preference selection (EL34 or 6L6).
Blackstar will also offer runner up prizes of FLY-3 Mini Amps.
